She climbed on board a pirate ship
Filled with rainbows, stars and magic,
Balloons, drinks and twinkling lights
She never got seasick
Or homesick
Never looked back
Never reminded herself
Of times before travelling
Trough the unknown blue
She made herself a home
On this pirate ship
Each and every room
Had more and more to do.
One crisp clean morning
She looked down at her watch
To find it had stopped working
She takes a look around
To find her ship had stopped moving
Fixing mechanisms inside is hard to do
And she’s not sure how to consult the crew
Up and down
The ship bobs
Moving nowhere
She stands close to the edge
Gazing out into a landless world
She dreams of water washing over her
Wading in white light
Discovering creatures mysterious and true
Falling head first
Plunging further through
[Floating is making do]
On a surface of salty blue.
Stuck in a pirate ship
Filled with rainbows, stars and magic,
Balloons, drinks and twinkling lights
She always gets seasick
And homesick
She’s not sure how to consult the crew
That she can’t remember the taste of red currents
Or the summer smell of that over grown grass house
Or how she felt in 1992
Terrified of loosing all her senses
Longing for her body to work like clockwork
Wishing to hear her life tick tastefully over
She is stuck on a magic pirate ship
